RE:WOOL, THE RECYCLED WOOL INSULATION

At Re:Wool®, we recover what the textile industry considers useless: offcuts from wool spinning production, too short to be spun, but still full of potential.

We transform this waste into high-performance insulation that is soft, breathable, and 100% natural.

Re:Wool® is our circular answer to the issue of wool waste.

OUR RECYCLING PROCESS

Wool recycling follows a multi-stage process designed to preserve the thermal qualities of the fiber while ensuring exemplary traceability.

CollectiOn

Collection of production waste from wool yarn spinners.

Defibration

The scraps are broken down and transformed into light, fluffy fibers.

Blending with PLA

Polylactic Acid is a biosourced fiber made out of corn sugar. We blend it at a precise 20% ratio with the recycled wool fibers.

Wadding

The fiber web is formed by layering several thin sheets, using a mechanical and thermal process.

Quality control

Quality control and packaging.

New product

New Re:Wool® insulated product.

Advantages

  • COMFORTABLE WARMTH
Wool has natural thermo-regulation properties that provide to Re:Wool® insulated garments a comfortable warmth. Without overheating and thanks to high breathability, Re:Wool® keeps you warm even in wet conditions.
  • VERY SOFT TOUCH
We recycle spinning waste from very fine wool yarns, in Nm 60 to Nm 80. The fibers diameter is below 19 microns, which gives Re:Wool® a soft, luxurious handfeel.
  • ALL NATURAL
We blend the wool fibers with PLA, which is a biosourced fiber. It is, like wool, biodegradable and compostable. Re:Wool® does not leave micro-plastics in the environment like PET based insulations.
  • WASHABLE AND RESISTANT
Re:Wool® insulation can be machine washed at 30°C wool program. The PLA keeps the 3D effect of the fibers web in shape and guarantees the durability of the product.
